Beautifully crafted, presented and acted. This movie takes all the correct steps to build a beautiful story that got much more of a reaction out of me than I initially thought it would.

The performances were outstanding all around, however I must say, Paul Mescal was my stand out. He uses every second of screen time to display his talents, both with the words he speaks and the way his body reacts to love, separation and grief. Jessie Buckley is allowed to drive the movie forward with her imprisonment in this cursed life she crawls through, which explains the praise. For me though, it's Mescal's embodiment of his role that had me in awe. 

Whilst I can easily acknowledge that this is an outstanding achievement, it's not my typical type of movie, meaning I won't crave a rewatch of this as much as I do other movies.
